About Healing Tails

Healing Tails located in Chicago, Illinois is hiring! Healing Tails is a small but rapidly growing physical rehabilitation veterinary practice located in the South Loop neighborhood in Chicago. Healing Tails was created to provide a spa-like environment for our clients and patients.  Patient’s are examined on the floor where they are most comfortable. Rooms are stocks with treats and have sound machines to provide a calming effect for nervous patients. We focus on developing a partnership with proactive pet parents who are committed to naturally supporting their pet’s health conditions and injuries by utilizing physical rehabilitation. Our staff veterinarian is certified in veterinary spinal manipulation therapy, acupuncture and physical rehabilitation. Working closely with the staff veterinarian the CCRP/CCRT will devise individual in clinic and/or home treatment plans for patients utilizing therapeutic exercise, massage therapy, stretching, passive range of motion, laser therapy, underwater treadmill therapy in an effort to decrease pain and improve mobility in our patients. We have a dedicated therapy room complete with an Oasis H20 underwater treadmill with incline function, Class 4 K-laser and Fitpaws equipment.

Requirements

  • Licensed - Be a licensed veterinary technician certified in canine rehabilitation.

  • Flexibility: Be flexible with work hours that may include evenings and weekends.

  • Punctual: With both appointments and arrival to work. 

  • Excellent time management: Ability to prioritize and efficiently complete tasks.

  • Dependability: the ability to follow through on commitments regardless of personal cost.

  • Ability to quickly learn and absorb new material. 

  • Proactive: Acts without being told what to do, brings new ideas to the company and has a record of seeking out learning experiences.

  • Extremely organized.

  • Have the ability to work independently with the ability to proactive and take initiative.

  • Detail oriented.

  • Communicate effectively with clients and other staff.

  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment.

  • A cheerful and optimistic attitude.

  • Willingness to collaborate and be a team player.

  • Possess a passion for practicing high quality rehabilitation medicine.
